Reading Workshop:
Children will complete FUN, developmentally appropriate reading and/or pre-reading activities with our speech-language pathologist who is specializing in all things LITERACY.
The workshop will address:
Foundational literacy skills such as phonological and phonemic awareness
Reading comprehension strategies appropriate for grade level
Expanding ideas/descriptive writing
Handwriting Workshop:
Children will work with our occupational therapy team (the handwriting experts) to refine pre-writing and writing using using multisensory strategies and FUN, engaging activities.
The workshop will address:
Age appropriate pencil grasp
Optimal seating positions
Correct formation of letters
Sensory integration activities that promote fine motor control

1 hour (reading) 12:00-1:00
1 hour (writing) 1:00-2:00
Two age groups:
Completed Preschool- Second Grade M/W
Completed Third Grade- Fifth Grade T/TH
Every skill level is welcome
1:2 therapist child ratio in each workshop
